The dormant season is the perfect time to get your apple, pear and plum trees pruned, helping to keep them healthy and to encourage more productive fruit. Trees which are left unchecked will over the years become congested, diseased, and produce less fruit.
Another good reason to keep your fruit trees in good shape is that they make good focal points, also create welcome shade from the heat of the sun, and attract many the birds and insects and other wildlife to the garden or outdoor space.
At Benita’s Garden Services, we are able to offer a professional small to medium fruit tree pruning service. Whether you want to encourage more fruit yields on your tree, have an old tree restored, or reduced to a more manageable size and shape we can advise, assist, and get the job done.
Moving forward, where ever possible we like to encourage Eco friendliness and sustainability and recycle much of the garden waste so help cut down on our carbon footprint. The way we do this is by using a chipper for smaller tree cuttings which can be composted or put back onto the garden as a mulch. Larger pieces can be sawed up to create log piles which benefit the insects and local wildlife near by.
